Hasegawa Toon Model Kit
Hasegawa Egg Plane Kit F-4 Phantom II TH5
The Hasegawa Egg Plane F-4 Phantom II transforms one of the most famous military aircraft ever built into a fun and distinctive cartoon-style model. Part of the hugely popular Egg Plane series, this kit captures the unmistakable character of the legendary Phantom while presenting it in Hasegawa’s unique egg-shaped format.
The Egg Plane range has become a favourite among hobbyists thanks to its combination of simplicity, charm and recognisable aircraft subjects. Rather than focusing on exact scale accuracy, these kits celebrate iconic aircraft through exaggerated proportions and playful styling. The result is a model that appeals to newcomers, experienced modellers and collectors alike.
The F-4 Phantom II is particularly well suited to the Egg Plane treatment. Its distinctive twin-engine layout, swept wings and large tail surfaces remain instantly recognisable despite the whimsical design. The simplified parts breakdown makes assembly straightforward and enjoyable, allowing builders to complete the model quickly while still achieving an attractive finished result.
With fewer parts than a traditional aircraft kit, the model offers an ideal introduction to aircraft modelling. It also provides a relaxing project for experienced hobbyists looking for something different between larger and more complex builds. The finished model can be displayed on its own or alongside other aircraft in the expanding Hasegawa Egg Plane collection.
Whether finished in authentic military colours or a completely custom scheme, the F-4 Phantom II Egg Plane offers plenty of opportunities for creative painting and personalisation.
