The Hasegawa F-16D Fighting Falcon is a highly detailed 1/72 scale plastic model kit of the twin-seat version of one of the world’s most successful multirole combat aircraft. While originally developed as an advanced trainer, the F-16D retains full combat capability and is widely used for operational, strike and air defence missions by air forces around the world.

History

The General Dynamics F-16D Fighting Falcon was developed alongside the single-seat F-16C as a twin-seat variant capable of pilot conversion, operational training and frontline combat missions. Retaining the outstanding agility, fly-by-wire controls and multirole flexibility of the original design, the F-16D has served with numerous air forces worldwide in air defence, precision strike and reconnaissance roles. Many later versions have incorporated advanced radar, targeting pods and precision-guided weapon capability, making the aircraft one of the most versatile fighters of the modern era. The F-16 family remains in active service with more than 25 countries and continues to receive significant upgrades.
