This 1/48 scale plastic model kit from Hasegawa represents the F-22 Raptor in Hawaii Air National Guard markings. The F-22 is a fifth-generation air superiority fighter, renowned for its stealth design, advanced avionics, and exceptional manoeuvrability.

Based on the PT45 tooling, this release contains 368 parts and captures the Raptor’s distinctive angular fuselage, internal weapons bays, and twin-engine configuration. Surface detail is finely engraved, reflecting the aircraft’s complex panel layout and stealth shaping. Once completed, the model measures approximately 394mm in length with a wingspan of 282mm, making it an impressive centrepiece in 1/48 scale.

History

The F-22 Raptor entered service with the United States Air Force in the early 2000s as a dedicated air dominance fighter. Combining stealth technology with supercruise capability and advanced sensor fusion, it was designed to ensure control of the skies against modern threats.

This version represents an aircraft of the 154th Wing, Hawaii Air National Guard, carrying the “HH” tail code. Operating from Hawaii, these aircraft play a key role in Pacific air defence and regional security operations.
