Hasegawa F/A-18F Super Hornet – Top Gun (1/72) HALE02404
The Hasegawa F/A-18F Super Hornet – Top Gun is a detailed 1/72 scale model kit representing one of the two-seat Super Hornets operated by the United States Navy’s famous TOPGUN training programme. Finished in authentic Naval Air Warfare Development Center (NAWDC) markings, this limited edition release captures the aircraft used to train the next generation of elite naval fighter crews.
This kit accurately reproduces the F/A-18F’s distinctive twin-seat cockpit, twin-engine configuration and modern carrier-based fighter design. Manufactured from 121 precision-moulded parts, the completed model measures approximately 255mm in length with a wingspan of 184mm, offering an impressive display piece for modern military aviation enthusiasts.
A high-quality decal sheet provides markings for four NAWDC aircraft used by the Naval Fighter Weapons School’s TOPGUN programme, including aircraft 107, together with options for aircraft 101, 104 and 106. These colourful adversary-style markings make this release particularly attractive to collectors of modern U.S. Navy aircraft.
With crisp moulding, accurate proportions and detailed surface engraving, the kit provides an excellent basis for a realistic Super Hornet display model. It is an ideal addition to collections featuring modern carrier aviation or aircraft associated with the legendary TOPGUN school.

History
The Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet is the two-seat variant of the U.S. Navy’s principal carrier-based multirole fighter. Operated by the Naval Air Warfare Development Center at Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada, aircraft assigned to the TOPGUN programme are used to train Navy and Marine Corps aircrews in advanced fighter tactics, air combat manoeuvring and mission planning. Their distinctive markings help identify instructor aircraft during training exercises and have made TOPGUN aircraft popular subjects with aviation enthusiasts around the world.
