Recreate Pierfrancesco Chili’s HB Honda Team machine from the 1989 Road Racing World Championship with this Hasegawa 1/12 Honda NSR500 plastic model kit. Newly moulded parts have been added to recreate the 1989 HB Honda model, including distinctive 3-spoke MARVIC wheel parts.

The model represents the HB Honda Team entry ridden by Pierfrancesco Chili during the 1989 Road Racing World Championship 500cc class. Chili finished sixth overall that season, and the supplied decals provide the markings for his number 9 machine.

1989 HB Honda Version

This version of the NSR500 is based specifically on the 1989 HB Honda machine. The kit contains 179 parts and incorporates additional plastic components developed for this release. Among the key additions are the 3-spoke MARVIC wheels, providing an important feature of the represented motorcycle.

At 1/12 scale, the completed model measures 167mm in length and 53mm in width. It forms part of Hasegawa’s range of 1/12 plastic kits and provides a dedicated racing motorcycle subject from the 1989 championship.

The 1989 season also included an unusual Italian GP500 race in which rain made the track slippery and almost all factory riders boycotted the race midway through.
