ICM Plastic Model Kit
Stuka Zu Fub Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.B WWII German MLRS
The ICM Stuka Zu Fub Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.B in 1/35 scale recreates one of the most distinctive German rocket artillery vehicles of the Second World War. Based on the Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track armoured personnel carrier, this multiple launch rocket system combined mobility with devastating short-range firepower.
Part of the 1/35 military vehicle model kits range, the kit features highly detailed armoured hull components, launch frames, and multiple rocket projectile options.

History
During the late 1920s and early 1930s, Germany began developing rocket artillery systems intended to provide mobile fire support for ground forces. By the early years of the Second World War, the Wehrmacht had introduced multiple rocket launchers capable of delivering concentrated bombardments against enemy positions.
Heavier rocket systems firing 280 mm and 320 mm projectiles were later developed to attack fortified positions and urban targets. These rockets carried large warheads and produced significant blast and incendiary effects.
To improve battlefield mobility, launch frames for these rockets were mounted onto vehicles including the Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track armoured personnel carrier. The resulting system became known among German troops as the “Stuka zu Fuß”, meaning “Stuka on foot”, due to the terrifying sound of the rockets during launch and their destructive impact.
The Sd.Kfz. 251 rocket launcher vehicles were used on multiple fronts throughout the war and became one of the most recognisable German self-propelled rocket artillery systems of the conflict.
