Italeri Plastic Model Kit
Italeri Bell AH-1W SuperCobra Attack Helicopter (1/72) 90160
The Italeri Bell AH-1W SuperCobra is a detailed 1/72 scale model kit of one of the United States Marine Corps’ most capable attack helicopters. Developed as a significant evolution of the original AH-1 Cobra, the SuperCobra combined greater firepower, improved survivability and twin-engine reliability, making it an effective close air support platform for amphibious and expeditionary operations.
This kit accurately captures the distinctive appearance of the AH-1W, including its slim tandem cockpit, powerful rotor system and heavily armed stub wings. The completed model measures approximately 20.4cm in length and includes a decal sheet with markings for three different aircraft, allowing modellers to build a variety of operational examples.
The AH-1W was capable of carrying an impressive range of weapons, including TOW anti-tank missiles, AGM-114 Hellfire guided missiles and unguided rocket pods. Combined with its nose-mounted cannon and excellent manoeuvrability, it provided highly effective battlefield support for Marine Corps operations in a variety of combat environments.
Designed for both display and collection, this kit offers finely moulded detail and an authentic representation of one of the most recognisable Western attack helicopters. It is an excellent addition to any modern military aircraft collection.

History
The Bell AH-1W SuperCobra entered service during the 1980s as an advanced development of the original AH-1 Cobra family. Powered by two General Electric turboshaft engines, it offered significantly improved performance, reliability and combat capability over earlier variants. Operated primarily by the United States Marine Corps, the SuperCobra supported amphibious assaults, close air support missions and anti-armour operations in conflicts including Operation Desert Storm and the Iraq War. It remained a key component of Marine Corps aviation until its gradual replacement by the AH-1Z Viper.
Glue and paints are sold separately.
