Italeri DAF XF95 Super Space Cab Truck (1/24) 93834

The Italeri DAF XF95 Super Space Cab is a 1/24 scale plastic model kit of the long-haul truck produced by the Dutch manufacturer DAF. Its large cab, purposeful chassis and balanced exterior design reproduce the appearance of one of the company’s most recognisable vehicles from the 1990s and early 2000s.

This edition features new box artwork, an updated decal sheet and rubber tyres. The decals provide the finishing details needed to bring the cab and chassis to life, while the separate rubber tyres add a contrasting material and realistic texture to the completed wheels.

Once assembled, the model measures approximately 24.5 cm long. Its substantial scale and prominent cab provide a strong basis for detailed painting and finishing, making it suitable for a standalone display or a broader collection of European commercial vehicles and long-distance trucks.

History

The DAF XF95 Super Space Cab became one of the Dutch manufacturer’s most recognisable trucks during the 1990s and early 2000s. Developed for demanding long-distance transport work, it reflected the commercial vehicle technology of its era and was designed to deliver efficient operation over extended routes.

The Super Space Cab version was distinguished by its particularly spacious interior. It offered drivers generous living and working space during long journeys and was regarded as one of the roomiest cabs available at the time. Despite its considerable internal volume, DAF integrated the cab into a balanced exterior design that appealed to drivers and transport operators.

Alongside driver comfort, the XF95 established a reputation for robustness and reliability. Reducing downtime for maintenance and repair was particularly important to commercial operators, for whom vehicle availability directly affected productivity. The combination of comfort, practical performance and dependable engineering helped make the XF95 a familiar sight on European long-haul routes.
