The Schwerer Panzerspähwagen Sd.Kfz. 234/1 in 1/35 scale offers a detailed and historically accurate replica of one of Germany’s most advanced armoured cars from the latter years of World War II. Developed as part of the highly regarded 234 series, this vehicle showcased a refined balance between speed, protection, and firepower—built to support reconnaissance and command missions on the battlefield.

Featuring an open-topped turret armed with a 20mm KwK 30 cannon, the Sd.Kfz. 234/1 could deliver effective infantry support and engage lightly armoured targets. Designed for all-terrain use, it reached speeds of up to 85 km/h on roads and offered significant operational flexibility. This model includes rubber tyres, fine photo-etched parts for enhanced detail, and decals for three different wartime configurations—making it an ideal choice for historical and military modellers.

History:

The Sd.Kfz. 234 series marked a pinnacle in German armoured car design during World War II, with the 234/1 variant often assigned to reconnaissance and command roles. Its powerful 20mm cannon and mobility across rough terrain made it well-suited to fast-moving frontline operations. Manufactured during the final phase of the war, the 234/1 exemplified lessons learned in early campaigns, combining battlefield survivability with tactical versatility and advanced engineering.
