History:

The North American T-28 Trojan was introduced in the 1950s as a military trainer, replacing the aging T-6 Texan. The T-28C variant, designed for the US Navy, included a tailhook and structural reinforcements for carrier training operations. With its powerful Wright R-1820 radial engine, the Trojan was not only an effective trainer but also adapted for combat roles in counter-insurgency missions during the Vietnam War and other global conflicts. The aircraft’s rugged construction and reliable performance earned it a reputation as a dependable workhorse. Today, many examples remain airworthy, cherished by collectors and warbird enthusiasts alike for their distinctive radial sound and historical significance.
