History:

The Northrop F-5F Tiger II was introduced in the 1970s as a two-seat development of the successful F-5E single-seat fighter. Designed to serve both as a trainer and as a capable light fighter, the F-5F retained the agility and reliability of its predecessor while offering tandem seating for instruction and advanced tactical training. It became an important asset for U.S. Navy and Air Force aggressor squadrons, simulating enemy aircraft in dissimilar air combat training. The F-5F also saw operational use in various air forces around the world, valued for its low operating cost and ease of maintenance. Its sleek silhouette and dynamic handling continue to make it a favourite among aviation enthusiasts and modellers alike.
