History:

The Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 represented the final evolution of the iconic German fighter. Introduced in late 1944, the Kurfürst featured a powerful DB 605D engine and refined aerodynamics. It included enhancements such as a streamlined canopy, reinforced landing gear, and improved high-altitude performance. Armed with a 30mm MK 108 cannon and twin MG 131 machine guns, the K-4 was designed for frontline defence in the closing months of the war. Despite its capabilities, production was limited and it entered service too late to have strategic impact. Nevertheless, it remains one of the most technically sophisticated variants of the Bf 109 lineage and a favourite subject for aviation historians and modellers alike.
