History:
The M-Shorad programme was developed to fill a critical gap in short-range air defence for manoeuvre units. Based on the upgraded M2A4 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle chassis, this variant mounts a turret equipped with Stinger surface-to-air missiles, a 30mm autocannon, and advanced sensor systems. It provides mobile protection against rotary-wing aircraft, drones, and low-flying fixed-wing threats. First fielded in the 2020s, the M-Shorad has been deployed in exercises and operations to bolster layered air defence strategies. This 3in1 kit allows modellers to recreate different configurations of this versatile platform, bringing modern military realism to 1/35 scale projects.
