Matho Models 1/35 Cardboard Boxes – Small Set 1
Add a varied selection of realistic packaging to your 1/35 scenes with Matho Models Cardboard Boxes – Small Set 1. This collection includes 33 boxes in 17 different designs, all printed on a single sheet.
The set combines a selection of boxes from five different Matho Models subjects, giving you a useful mixture of generic and branded-style packaging themes for detailing your scenes.
Set Contents
- Selection from 35058 – Cardboard Boxes – Generic
- Selection from 35064 – Cardboard Boxes – Beer
- Selection from 35071 – Cardboard Boxes – Coffee
- Selection from 35072 – Cardboard Boxes – Water
- Selection from 35073 – Cardboard Boxes – Soda
The boxes are printed on slightly thickened paper to give them a more realistic appearance when assembled. The interiors are also printed with a brown cardboard texture, so you can display individual boxes open or closed. This provides additional flexibility when arranging the 33 boxes within a scene.
Cutting and Assembly
For clean results, cut the boxes from the sheet using a sharp, preferably new, knife and a steel ruler. Also remove the thick white or black lines between the upper and lower flaps. Cut to the left and right of each thick line, then use the tip of the knife to remove the remaining section. This allows the flaps to come together more cleanly during assembly.
Before folding, gently run a knife along the bending lines using a steel ruler as a guide. Apply only light pressure so that the paper is scored rather than cut. This helps produce neat, sharp bends when forming each box.
After the boxes have been folded and glued together, the exposed paper edges on coloured designs can be lightly painted in an appropriate colour to disguise the white paper and create a cleaner finished appearance. The combination of printed outer designs, detailed interiors, and the ability to display boxes open or closed makes the set particularly useful for creating varied packaging groups rather than repeating a single box design.
