Matho Models White Solid Line Waterslide Decals

Matho Models 80047 provides an A6 sheet of white solid waterslide decals in a selection of line thicknesses ranging from 0.10mm to 1mm. Suitable for all scales, the sheet offers a choice of clearly identified line widths, making it straightforward to select the required thickness for your modelling project.

The decals feature separated film, so the required section comes away without the need to cut precisely to its edges. Their ultra-thin construction helps the lines adapt well to different surfaces, while high-definition printing provides a crisp result even across fine details. The white printing is accurate and colourfast, with a semi-matte finish.

Solid White Lines from 0.10mm to 1mm

The A6 sheet provides solid white lines in thicknesses from 0.10mm through to 1mm, with each thickness identified directly on the sheet. For each thickness from 0.10mm to 0.6mm, there is 37cm of line available. For each thickness from 0.7mm to 1mm, there is 24.7cm of line available.

Suitable for all scales, this Matho Models decal sheet allows the line thickness to be selected according to the individual project. The different widths provide flexibility when adding solid white line details to scale modelling designs.

Applying the Solid Line Decals

Cut the required line to the desired length with a sharp knife, then place it in water for approximately 5 to 10 seconds to loosen the decal from its carrier paper. Gently slide the decal into position using tweezers. Decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can be used for better adhesion, particularly when applying the line to non-flat surfaces.

Once positioned, use tissue paper with light pressure to remove excess water or decal softener and fix the decal in place. Varnish can then be airbrushed over the decal for protection, while semi-matte or matte varnish can be used to reduce glare if required. The usual weathering process can then be applied to blend the solid white lines into the finished design.
