Matho Models White Symbol Waterslide Decals

Matho Models 80039 is an A6 sheet of white waterslide decals containing a varied selection of symbols in different sizes. The sheet includes rounds, squares, arrows, rectangles, triangles, stars, pentagons, dots and other symbols, providing a useful collection of white markings for scale modelling projects.

The symbols are suitable for all scales and are produced as ultra-thin waterslide decals with separated film. Each decal comes away individually, removing the need to cut precisely around the edges of the individual symbol. High-definition printing provides a crisp result, including on the smaller details, while the white colour is accurate and colourfast.

Various White Symbols and Sizes

The A6 sheet combines a selection of geometric shapes and symbols in various sizes. Rounds, squares, rectangles and triangles are joined by arrows, stars, pentagons and dots, giving the sheet a broad selection of individual white markings. The semi-matte finish helps provide a controlled appearance once the chosen symbol has been positioned.

As the symbols are suitable for all scales, this Matho Models decal sheet can be used according to the requirements of the individual modelling project. The range of shapes and sizes allows an appropriate symbol to be selected directly from the sheet.

Applying the Waterslide Decals

Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife and place it in water for approximately 5 to 10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Gently slide the decal into position using tweezers. A decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can be used to improve adhesion, particularly when applying decals to non-flat surfaces.

Once positioned, use tissue paper and light pressure to remove excess water or decal softener and fix the symbol in place. Varnish can then be airbrushed over the decal for protection. Semi-matte or matte varnish can be used to reduce glare if required, after which the usual weathering process can be applied to blend the white symbol into the finished design.
