Matho Models 1/35 Flower Pots
Add a varied selection of flower pots to your 1/35 modelling projects with this set from Matho Models. The set contains nine different unpainted flower pots, each 3D printed in high-detail resin and ready for preparation, priming, painting and weathering.
The nine different designs vary in height from approximately 3 mm to 1.5 cm, giving you a useful selection of sizes for adding small-scale flower pot details to a scene. The plants shown with the pots are not included.
Nine Different Resin Flower Pots
Instead of repeating a single design, this set includes nine different flower pots. Their varied sizes and designs make them useful for detailing 1/35 scenes that require a selection of individual pots. Each piece is supplied unpainted, so you can choose a finish to suit your project.
The pots are 3D printed in high-detail resin. Handle the parts carefully during preparation, as 3D printed components can be brittle. Carefully remove the sprue before beginning any required surface preparation.
Preparing, Painting and Weathering
The 3D printing process builds each flower pot in very fine layers. Some layer lines may remain slightly visible in certain areas, particularly under magnification. Where required, sand these areas with a medium abrasive such as 600 grit, followed by a finer abrasive such as 1000 grit.
Apply primer before assessing the surface, as the primed finish makes it easier to see whether further sanding is required. If necessary, repeat the sanding and priming process until you are happy with the surface. The pots can then be painted and weathered.
For very small or difficult areas, cut a strip of sandpaper approximately 1-2 mm wide and fold it. Hold the strip with flat-tipped tweezers so that only a tiny section of the folded edge projects beyond the tips. Carefully move this small abrasive surface over the required area, making a fresh fold in an unused section of the strip when the abrasive becomes clogged.
