Matho Models Graffiti Decals Set 2 provides a varied selection of detailed water-slide graffiti decals for adding distinctive surface details to scale modelling projects. Designed in 1/35 scale, the decals can also be used with other scales where their size suits the project. The sheet measures 9 x 15 cm and was created as a cooperation between Matho Models and Alternity Miniatures.

The graffiti is supplied without pre-weathering, giving you control over how clean, faded or heavily weathered the finished designs appear. This makes it possible to adapt the decals to the level of weathering used across the rest of your model or scene rather than working around a predetermined finish.

Ultra-Thin Graffiti Decals

These water-slide decals use separated film, allowing the individual designs to release one by one without the need to cut precisely around their printed edges. The ultra-thin decal material adapts well to different surfaces, while high-definition printing provides crisp results even in fine details.

How to Apply and Finish

Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife and place it in water for approximately 5-10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Gently slide the decal into position using tweezers. Decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can improve adhesion, particularly when applying decals to non-flat surfaces.

Use tissue paper with light pressure to remove excess water or decal softener and fix the decal into position. Once dry, an airbrushed coat of varnish can provide protection, while a semi-matte or matte varnish can reduce glare if required. Weathering can then be applied to blend the graffiti into the surrounding finish and achieve the desired appearance.
