Matho Models Street Name Signs B – Italian is a sheet of detailed water-slide decals featuring various Italian street name signs. Designed in 1/35 scale, the decals provide crisp signage details for suitable scale modelling projects and can also be used with other scales where their size suits the subject.

The sheet measures approximately 6.1 x 9 cm and combines ultra-thin decal material with high-definition printing. This produces crisp results even in the smallest details, while accurate, colourfast colours and a semi-matte finish give the street name signs a clean appearance on the finished model or scene.

How to Apply

Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife and place it in water for approximately 5-10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Gently slide the decal into position using tweezers. Decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can be used to improve adhesion, particularly when applying the decal to non-flat surfaces.

Once positioned, use tissue paper and apply light pressure over the decal to remove excess water or decal softener and fix it into place. After drying, an airbrushed coat of varnish can be applied for protection. A semi-matte or matte varnish can also reduce glare if required. The usual weathering process can then be used to blend the Italian street name signs naturally into the finished design.
