Matho Models 1/35 Warning Signs & Labels Decals

Add finely printed warning signs and labels to your modelling projects with this Matho Models water-slide decal sheet. Supplied on an A6-sized sheet, the set contains various warning sign and label decals designed primarily for 1/35 scale, although they can also be used with other scales where their size suits the project.

These ultra-thin decals feature high-definition printing for a crisp result, including the smallest details. Accurate, colourfast printing and a semi-matte finish help produce clean, convincing markings for suitable scale model detailing projects.

Separated Film for Easier Application

Each water-slide decal has separated film, so individual designs come away separately without needing to be cut precisely to their edges. The ultra-thin decal material adapts well to different surfaces, while decal softener such as Micro Set & Sol can be used to improve adhesion, particularly when applying decals over non-flat areas.

The sheet is protected by a semi-transparent cover, which can make the decals appear dull before use. Once this protective sheet is removed, the printed decals appear crisp and bright. Copyright markings are not present on the actual product.

How to Apply the Decals

Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife, then place it in water for approximately 5-10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Using tweezers, gently slide the decal into position. Apply decal softener where required, particularly when working over shaped or uneven surfaces.

Once positioned, use tissue paper with light pressure to remove excess water or decal softener and help fix the decal in place. After application, airbrush varnish over the decal for protection. A semi-matte or matte varnish can also be used to reduce glare if required. The usual weathering process can then be applied to blend the warning signs and labels naturally into the finished model.
