Modelcraft Green Stuff Modelling Putty

Modelcraft Green Stuff PGS4400 is a versatile two-part modelling putty for adding and sculpting detail, scratch-building models and parts, filling gaps, and carrying out repair and restoration work. It uses the original Kneadatite Green Stuff formula and remains malleable after mixing, giving you time to shape and refine the material before it cures.

Whether you are creating a new detail from scratch or filling and reshaping an existing area, the putty can be worked during its 90-minute working time. This makes it particularly useful for modelling jobs where careful shaping and detailing are needed rather than an immediate cure.

Sculpting, Filling and Scratch-Building

Green Stuff can be used for a variety of modelling tasks. Its malleable consistency after mixing makes it suitable for sculpting details and scratch-building models or individual parts. It can also be applied as a filler and putty for closing gaps, as well as for repair and restoration work where material needs to be added and shaped.

Once the two parts have been mixed, the putty has a working life of up to 90 minutes. This provides time for shaping, sculpting and adding detail before the material hardens. A little water can be used to keep your fingers and tools wet while sculpting, helping when working and shaping the putty.

Workable After Curing

After 24 hours, Modelcraft Green Stuff hardens while remaining bendable without becoming brittle. The cured material can then be worked further as required, allowing it to be carved, sanded and drilled. This gives you the option to refine shapes, smooth areas or make further adjustments after the initial sculpting and curing stages.
