The Perry Miniatures American Civil War Artillery set provides everything required to field artillery batteries for American Civil War tabletop games, collections and historical displays. Designed by Alan and Michael Perry, this versatile plastic set allows modellers and gamers to represent a wide range of Union or Confederate artillery units that served throughout the conflict between 1861 and 1865.

The box contains three complete artillery pieces, three limbers and eighteen highly detailed crew figures. Each crew member is supplied as a multi-pose figure with a selection of separate arms, allowing realistic gun drill positions to be recreated around the artillery pieces. This flexibility enables modellers to depict crews loading, aiming, firing or supporting the guns during battle.

A major feature of the set is the inclusion of four interchangeable gun barrel options for each artillery piece. These represent some of the most widely used field guns of the American Civil War, including the Napoleon 12-pounder, 3-inch Ordnance Rifle, 10-pounder Parrott Rifle and 12-pounder Howitzer. This variety allows players to build batteries appropriate for specific battles, campaigns or army organisations.

The crew figures are equally adaptable. Separate forage caps, kepis and slouch hats are included, making it possible to represent either Union or Confederate artillery units. The mix of headgear also allows individual batteries to be personalised, reflecting the varied appearance of artillery crews during the war.

Whether supporting infantry advances, defending strategic positions or recreating famous engagements such as Gettysburg, Antietam or Fredericksburg, this set provides a flexible and historically inspired artillery force suitable for a wide range of American Civil War gaming systems.
