Red Fox Studio 1/32 WWII German Brick Base Type 5
The Red Fox Studio Type 5 German Brick Base provides a ready-made scenic surface for building a 1/32 WWII German diorama. Measuring 380 x 320mm, the colourful printed brickwork uses a three-dimensional effect to add depth and definition to the groundwork.
The base is made from 5mm-thick extruded PVC, giving you a substantial surface you can adapt to the layout. Instead of using the full sheet, you can cut and scale it to the required dimensions when a smaller section of brickwork better suits the scene.
Flexible Brick Groundwork
With its Type 5 brick design, the base can form the groundwork for a period display without creating the complete surface from individual scenic materials. The 1/32 scale format is intended for WWII German scenes, providing a defined area on which the rest of the composition can be developed.
The 380 x 320mm size also gives you flexibility when planning the display. Use the full printed area for a larger setting or cut the extruded PVC to create a smaller section that can be combined with other groundwork within the diorama.
Adapt the Finish to Your Scene
Add further painting and weathering as needed. The printed surface resists UV rays and various paints and washes, allowing you to add colour and tonal effects to integrate the brickwork with the surrounding scenery.
The printed surface has a semi-gloss finish. Applying matt varnish is recommended for a more realistic appearance, reducing the sheen while preserving the detail and three-dimensional character of the brick design.
