Red Fox Studio 1/35 WWII German Brick Base Type 3
Designed as ready-made groundwork for a 1/35 WWII German display, the Red Fox Studio Type 3 Brick Base provides a 380 x 320mm printed scenic surface. Its colourful brick design creates a three-dimensional effect, adding visible depth and definition around the diorama subject.
The artwork is printed onto 5mm-thick extruded PVC. You can cut and scale the material when you don’t need the full sheet, allowing you to adapt the brickwork to the shape and available space of an individual scene.
Build the Layout Around the Brick Surface
The Type 3 design gives the diorama a defined area of brick groundwork from the outset. At 1/35 scale, it suits WWII German scenes and provides the setting around which the main model and other elements are positioned.
Its 380 x 320mm dimensions allow you to incorporate the complete base into a display, but the cuttable construction also makes smaller layouts possible. Sections can be sized to suit the composition or incorporated alongside other scenic groundwork without having to use the entire printed area.
Finish and Weather to Suit the Diorama
The surface is resistant to UV rays and to various paints and washes. This lets you develop the supplied brick design further with painting and weathering, including tonal variation that helps the base coordinate with the surrounding scenery.
The printed design has a semi-gloss finish. A coat of matt varnish is recommended for a more realistic appearance where the sheen needs to be reduced, while the underlying detail and three-dimensional effect remain part of the finished surface.
