Carson Reflex 3.1 Stick Radio with Receiver and Servo

The Carson Reflex 3.1 C707131 is a 2.4GHz twin stick radio system supplied with a receiver and steering servo. Designed for use with Tamiya radio control car kits, it combines straightforward mechanical controls with digital band scanning and a programmable fail safe function.

Both control channels feature servo reverse, allowing the direction of servo operation to be reversed when required. Standard mechanical trims provide simple adjustment, while direct rate control allows fine tuning of the steering. An LED battery status indicator on the handset provides a clear indication of transmitter battery status.

2.4GHz Digital Radio System

The Reflex 3.1 uses a digital band scanning system that eliminates the need for crystals. Each time the system is powered on, it automatically selects an unused radio zone to avoid interference. This provides a practical modern replacement for the discontinued Acoms Techniplus radio system.

A programmable fail-safe function is included as standard. You can configure it to stop if it goes out of radio range. The system suits model cars and boats, making it a versatile choice for a range of radio control applications.

Receiver, Servo and Controls

The set includes a 5-channel receiver. The additional receiver channels are not used for the main two-channel controls but can be utilised to power accessories. The receiver uses a standard plug system and accepts Acoms and Carson servos as well as Futaba and Graupner.

Binding is straightforward when using the handset with additional receivers. Switch on the receiver, press SET and then switch on the transmitter to complete the binding process.

Power supplied to the receiver through the electronic speed controller does not need to be reduced below BEC voltage, allowing the system to be used with different brands and models of speed controllers.
