History:

The Ilyushin Il-2 Stormovik was developed as a dedicated ground-attack aircraft and entered service with the Soviet Air Forces in 1942. Armed with bombs, cannons, and rockets, it became a key weapon in Soviet offensive operations. With over 36,000 built, the Il-2 remains one of the most produced military aircraft of all time.
