This 1/35 scale kit from Rye Field Model presents the Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. F2/G, one of the most important variants of the German Panzer IV series. With its long-barrelled 7.5cm KwK 40 L/43 main gun and upgraded armour, the Ausf. F2 and G versions marked a significant step in German tank development during World War II.

History: The Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. F2/G marked a critical evolution in German armoured warfare. Introduced in 1942, the F2 variant featured the longer KwK 40 L/43 gun, designed to counter Soviet T-34 and KV tanks. Soon after, the Ausf. G continued this design with further armour upgrades and production refinements. These tanks were deployed across the Eastern Front and in North Africa, becoming the backbone of German armoured divisions during the mid-war years. Their balanced combination of firepower, protection, and mobility made them formidable opponents on the battlefield.
