History

The M4A3E8, nicknamed “Easy Eight,” entered service in late 1944 and quickly became a favourite among American crews for its smoother ride, improved firepower and upgraded suspension. The addition of the 76mm gun allowed it to better counter German armour, while HVSS widened its tracks for better cross-country performance. It played a prominent role in the final months of WWII and saw extensive service during the Korean War. Reliable, easy to maintain, and mass-produced, the Easy Eight was a symbol of Allied armoured power and remains an iconic piece of armoured warfare history.
