Modelcraft Starter Modelling Tool Set
The Modelcraft PTK1006 Starter Modelling Tool Set brings together six basic tools for building and assembling plastic models. Designed as an easy-to-use set for beginners, it covers several important modelling tasks without including any sharp blades.
The selection includes tools for removing parts from sprues, cleaning mould lines, filing, handling components, painting and protecting the work surface. It is a convenient starting point for plastic modellers, hobbyists, wargamers and role-playing game projects.
Six modelling tools included
Each tool has a clear role within the building and finishing process. The complete set contains:
- 140mm flat steel file
- A6 cutting mat
- Sprue and plastic clipper
- Mouldline remover
- Flat-point tweezer
- Synthetic No.2 paint brush
- Modelcraft reference PTK1006
The sprue and plastic clipper supports the removal of model parts from their sprues, while the mouldline remover and flat steel file provide tools for cleaning and refining components. The flat-point tweezer assists with handling model parts, and the synthetic paint brush provides a basic option for painting.
Designed for beginners
This starter set is ideal for anyone beginning to build plastic models. By combining six useful items in one pack, it provides a straightforward collection for carrying out several common modelling tasks from initial part removal through to painting.
No sharp blades are included, making the selection focused on easy-to-use clippers, filing, mouldline removal, handling and brushwork. The A6 cutting mat provides a dedicated working surface as part of the same compact set.
Useful for modelling and gaming projects
The Modelcraft starter set is designed for plastic modellers and general hobby use. It is also suitable for wargamers and role-playing game projects where plastic components, miniatures or related items need to be removed, prepared, handled and painted.
Its mix of preparation, handling and painting tools creates a practical foundation for getting started. Rather than selecting each item separately, the PTK1006 set places the core tools together in one convenient package.
