Detailed 1/72 scale plastic model kit representing the U.S. Army M1026 4×4 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle. This variant reflects the earlier, lighter configuration of the HMMWV family, prior to the widespread adoption of heavy armour packages.
The kit combines finely moulded plastic parts with photo-etched details to capture key exterior and interior features. To further enhance realism, 3D printed components are included for the tyres and exhaust system, providing sharper definition than traditional injection-moulded parts at this scale.

The M1026 was one of the early cargo and troop carrier variants of the HMMWV, designed to provide high mobility across rough terrain rather than heavy protection. Introduced in the 1980s, it became a common sight with U.S. forces during training and early overseas deployments, including the period leading up to the Gulf War. Its relatively uncluttered appearance makes it a useful reference point for understanding how the HMMWV evolved as operational requirements changed.
