Detailed 1/72 scale upgrade and detail set designed to enhance U.S. Army M1114 Interim Fragmentation up-armoured High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle builds fitted with a GPK turret. This set focuses on improving realism and visual fidelity through additional armour details and crew representation.
The kit includes upgrade parts intended to replicate the Interim FRAG configuration applied to early up-armoured HMMWVs, bridging the gap between initial armour solutions and later factory FRAG upgrades. The Interim FRAG programme was introduced as an urgent response to increasing battlefield threats during the early stages of operations in Iraq, providing additional fragmentation protection before full factory up-armoured vehicles became widely available. Vehicles fitted with these interim kits were often seen with mixed configurations and field-applied solutions, making them particularly distinctive subjects. When combined with the GPK turret, the Interim FRAG M1114 represents a transitional but historically important phase in the evolution of modern U.S. tactical vehicles.
