The Tamiya De Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI (1/32) celebrates one of WWII’s most remarkable aircraft. Nicknamed the “Wooden Wonder”, the Mosquito was a fast and versatile twin-engine fighter-bomber made primarily of wood. The FB Mk.VI variant, introduced in 1943, featured a deadly combination of four 7.7mm machine guns and four 20mm cannons, plus the ability to carry bombs. This kit brings that legacy to life with exceptional detail and accuracy.

History:

Developed in the late 1930s, the De Havilland Mosquito defied conventional aircraft construction by using wood instead of metal. The FB Mk.VI variant was one of the most widely used, boasting superb speed, range, and firepower. Operational from 1943, it played a key role in precision bombing raids, anti-shipping operations, and low-level strikes. Its success was so pronounced that the Luftwaffe struggled to counter its impact until the jet-powered Me262 appeared late in the war. The Mosquito remains a symbol of British ingenuity and engineering excellence.
