The Tamiya F-35B Lightning II (1/72) brings one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world to a compact, highly detailed scale model format. Based on extensive research of the full-size aircraft, this kit authentically captures the unique short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) capabilities of the B variant, making it the definitive F-35B in 1/72 scale.
Developed under the Joint Strike Fighter program, the F-35B serves with the United States Marine Corps, the Royal Air Force, the Italian Navy, and soon the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Designed for versatility, it can operate from both aircraft carriers and short airstrips, combining stealth, speed, and agility in a single platform. Its combat debut came in 2018 with the USMC in Afghanistan, showcasing its operational capabilities.
