The Ford GT is a modern engineering marvel inspired by its legendary racing predecessor, the GT40. Designed to celebrate Ford’s 1966 Le Mans triumph, the second-generation GT was unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show and went into production in 2016. Powered by a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 delivering 647 horsepower, the GT combines cutting-edge performance with aggressive styling and world-class aerodynamics.
This 1/24 scale kit from Tamiya accurately captures the low-slung teardrop profile, sculpted rear buttresses, active aero elements, and carbon fibre bodywork of the full-size vehicle. The model features multi-piece light assemblies, finely rendered interior components including seat and steering details, and optional racing stripe decals. Builders will appreciate the authentic underbody detailing and precision fitment throughout.
