History: The Horch Type 1a was developed under the German Einheits (standard) programme in the 1930s to address the need for reliable, standardised military transport. Built by Auto-Union/Horch, it featured a V8 engine, four-wheel drive, and was adaptable to various specialist roles such as communications, reconnaissance, and light anti-aircraft duties. It served on all major fronts until the end of the war, becoming one of the most recognisable German military vehicles of its time.
