German Motorcycle Orderly Set (1/35) 35241
This 1/35 scale Tamiya kit recreates German motorcycle orderlies using the DKW NZ 350/1 during World War II. Produced by DKW from 1940, the NZ 350/1 was specially modified for the Wehrmacht with a cast iron engine block, centrifugal air filter, and reinforced frame. While unsuitable for heavy cross-country use, its light weight and ease of handling made it ideal for courier duties across Europe, North Africa, and Russia.
Motorcycles like the NZ 350/1 played an important role in communications and reconnaissance, delivering orders swiftly between units and navigating areas where larger vehicles could not operate effectively. They were widely used by reconnaissance divisions and command staff throughout the war.
