This 1/35 scale Tamiya model kit recreates the German Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. L, a mid-war upgrade to the Panzer III series that saw action on both the Eastern Front and in North Africa during WWII. The Ausf. L featured a long-barrelled KwK50 L/60 main gun capable of engaging T-34 tanks at up to 600 metres, plus two MG34 machine guns for secondary armament.
- Highly detailed replica of the Ausf. L variant with accurate turret and hull features.
- Includes 57mm front armour and 20mm spaced mantlet armour detail.
- Authentic suspension and road wheel assemblies with strengthened components.
- Maybach HL120TRM engine deck and hull details reproduced.
- Depicts combat service in Eastern Front and North African theatres.
With 635 units produced in 1942, the Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. L was among the last of its type to serve as a frontline tank before the role passed to the Tiger I and Panther, but its reliable chassis continued in service as the basis for later self-propelled gun designs.
