This 1/35 scale Tamiya model kit depicts the German Steyr Kommandeurwagen, a command vehicle based on the Steyr 1500A/01 military transport. Produced under the 1940 “Schell Programme” vehicle standardisation, the Kommandeurwagen was designed to provide comfort and mobility for high-ranking officers during WWII. Built on the same chassis as the 1500A truck, it featured an 8-cylinder, 85hp petrol engine, a four-speed gearbox with reverse, torsion bar front suspension, and leaf spring rear suspension, capable of reaching speeds up to 100km/h on roads.
