The Jagdpanzer 38(t) “Hetzer” was a compact German tank destroyer introduced in 1944, based on the chassis of the Czechoslovakian-built Panzer 38(t). Designed for ambush tactics, it featured a low silhouette, sloped armour, and a powerful 75mm Pak 39 L/48 gun. The mid-production variant included refinements to armour layout, exhaust systems, and other fittings that improved its combat efficiency and ease of production. This variant saw widespread use on both the Eastern and Western Fronts until the end of the war.
