This 1/700 scale Tamiya kit depicts the Royal Navy’s HMS Rodney, one of the most distinctive and powerful British battleships of the interwar period and World War II. Laid down in 1922 and completed in 1927, Rodney was renowned for her unique configuration of nine 16-inch guns mounted in triple turrets, all positioned forward of the bridge. She was built with weight-saving innovations including lightweight steel, aluminium, and fireproofed plywood for internal structures, while maintaining formidable protection with thick armour plating.
