History

The Honda CBR 1100XX Super Blackbird was introduced in 1996 as a flagship high-performance sport touring motorcycle. Designed to challenge and surpass the top-speed record held by the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11, the Blackbird succeeded, briefly becoming the fastest production motorcycle in the world with a top speed approaching 180 mph. Its smooth inline-four engine, aerodynamic styling, and high-speed stability made it a favourite among sport-touring riders.

Named after the legendary SR-71 Blackbird aircraft, the CBR 1100XX combined aggressive performance with Honda’s renowned build quality.
