The Honda S600 was first launched in 1964 and stands as a milestone in Honda’s early automotive history. Offered in both roadster and fastback coupé versions, it was the first Honda model to be available in multiple trim levels. The S600 combined compact design with sporty performance, earning a reputation for being a lightweight, high-revving sports car that could rival many larger competitors on both the road and track.

Powered by a 606cc DOHC four-cylinder engine producing 57hp, the car’s performance was impressive for its size. Its distinctive chain-driven rear wheel setup and responsive handling helped it succeed not only on the road but also in motorsport events throughout Japan and Europe. Subtle refinements to its grille, bumper, and lighting occurred during its production run until 1966.
