The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien, codenamed “Tony” by the Allies, was a Japanese WWII fighter aircraft known for its inline liquid-cooled engine, giving it a distinctive appearance compared to other Japanese fighters. This Tamiya 1/48 scale kit accurately reproduces the Ki-61-Id variant with fine surface detailing, realistic cockpit features, and historically accurate markings.
