This 1/48 scale Tamiya kit captures the unique twin-boom design of the Lockheed P-38 Lightning, one of the most distinctive and versatile fighters of WWII. Introduced in 1941, the P-38 served across multiple theatres, excelling in interception, escort, and ground-attack roles. The F variant, operational from 1942, featured pylons for 150-gallon drop tanks for extended range, while the later G variant introduced more powerful engines and the option for 300-gallon tanks.
