History
The M3 Stuart was one of the most widely produced light tanks of the Second World War, praised for its speed and mechanical reliability. The late production version featured a revised turret with a smoother profile and omitted cupola, improving crew visibility and manufacturing efficiency. Armed with a 37mm cannon and several machine guns, it was ideally suited for reconnaissance and infantry support roles. While lightly armoured compared to its adversaries, its mobility made it valuable in theatres like North Africa, the Pacific, and Eastern Europe. It also served with Allied forces under lend-lease, including the Soviet Red Army, which used it effectively in fast-moving operations.
