Martini Brabham BT44B 1975 (1/12) 12042

The Tamiya Martini Brabham BT44B 1975 (1/12) offers a faithful recreation of one of Formula One’s most recognisable machines of the mid-1970s. The BT44B was a refinement of the Gordon Murray-designed BT44, fielded by the Brabham team during the 1975 season with sponsorship from Martini Racing. Its clean aerodynamic shape and strong results cemented its status as a classic F1 design.

This 1/12 scale model features highly detailed bodywork, exposed engine and suspension assemblies, and realistic Martini livery. Tamiya’s engineering ensures a precision fit with features such as rubber tyres, realistic metal finishes, and optional decals. A rewarding project for motorsport enthusiasts and experienced modellers alike.

History

The Brabham BT44B was introduced during the 1975 Formula One season as an evolution of the successful BT44. Designed by Gordon Murray, it retained the car’s sleek, minimalist design but included subtle refinements in aerodynamics and mechanical setup. With Martini Racing backing, the BT44B featured one of the most iconic liveries of its time, instantly recognisable on the F1 grid.

Driven by Carlos Reutemann and Carlos Pace, the BT44B delivered solid performances and frequent podium finishes. Though it never captured the championship, it helped solidify Brabham’s reputation as a competitive and innovative team. Tamiya’s large-scale kit captures this important piece of F1 history with technical accuracy and striking visual appeal.
