With a focus on surface realism and simplified assembly, this kit is ideal for both display and diorama settings.

  • Includes optional ordnance: bombs and rocket launchers
  • Detailed undercarriage and cockpit parts
  • High-quality decals for multiple marking options
  • Suitable for intermediate modellers and up

History

The De Havilland Mosquito was conceived in 1939 as a fast, unarmed bomber that could evade enemy fighters through sheer speed. Built primarily from wood to conserve strategic materials, it was powered by two Rolls-Royce Merlin engines and first flew in 1940. With top speeds outpacing even the Spitfire at the time, the Mosquito quickly gained favour and was produced in numerous variants.

The FB Mk.VI was introduced in 1943 as a fighter-bomber, equipped with four 20mm cannons, four 7.7mm machine guns, and the capability to carry bombs or rockets. It proved extremely effective in low-level raids, anti-ship missions, and precision attacks on enemy infrastructure across Europe and Asia. Its wooden construction made it resilient to damage and difficult to detect by radar, earning it a legendary status among Allied aircrews.
