This 1/48 scale kit recreates the late-production Panzer IV Ausf. H, a variant of one of Germany’s most widely used tanks in WWII. The late Ausf. H was equipped with the 75mm L/48 gun and featured Schürzen armor side skirts for increased protection. Distinguishing features of the late production included guide-less tracks, steel upper road wheels without rubber tires, and cast metal idler wheels, all faithfully reproduced in the kit.

History: The Panzer IV was the backbone of the German armored forces and saw continuous upgrades throughout the war. The Ausf. H variant, produced between April 1943 and July 1944, reflected lessons learned from combat, particularly against Soviet armor. Serving on both the Eastern and Western Fronts, late-production Ausf. H tanks were heavily involved in defensive battles, where their improved protection and firepower made them formidable opponents despite growing Allied numerical superiority.
