The Tamiya German Tank Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf.B (1/35) offers a highly accurate recreation of one of Germany’s early World War II tanks. Originally developed in secret under the guise of an “agricultural tractor” to bypass post-WWI restrictions, the Panzer I played a crucial role in training German crews and saw combat in the Spanish Civil War, the invasion of Poland, and on the Eastern Front. The Ausf.B variant featured a more powerful 100hp engine, a lengthened hull, and twin 7.92mm MG13 machine guns.
Despite being lightly armed and armoured, the Panzer I Ausf.B was pivotal in developing Germany’s armoured warfare tactics. This model captures the compact yet purposeful design with precision, backed by thorough research of the real vehicle.
