This 1/35 scale model kit from Tamiya recreates the Pz.Kpfw.38(t) Ausf. E/F, a light tank adopted by Nazi Germany following its annexation of Czechoslovakia. Originally a Czech design known as the LT vz.38, it became a vital early-war asset due to its compact size, solid armour, and dependable mobility.

History
The Pz.Kpfw.38(t) was originally designed as the LT vz.38 for the Czech Army, but after the German annexation of Czechoslovakia in 1939, it was absorbed into the Wehrmacht as a front-line light tank. Its reliability, speed and firepower made it ideal for early Blitzkrieg campaigns in Poland and France. The Ausf. E/F versions introduced thicker armour to increase survivability on the battlefield. By 1942, the 38(t) was becoming obsolete as a tank but its excellent chassis ensured its continued use as the foundation for vehicles like the Marder III and Hetzer throughout the war.
